The day after Election Day in 2024, I started developing a feature-length drama about a young American woman who is caught up in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. My MiraCosta College classmate and co-writer Paul Chepura, an asylee from Ukraine, is giving this project authenticity that I cannot match alone.
